19th School Day
Congratulations to the girls cross country team on their first place finish at Montreat this weekend. Mackenzie Galyean was the overall girl winner. The boys team finished second and Brooklyn Galyean, Sierra Southerland, Luke Dillard, Russell Arndt and Jacob Gray were all top 10 finishers.
The Diversity Club is a club that discusses and explores the importance of diversity and inclusion. Please join us for our 1st meeting on Wednesday, September 5th at 7:30 am in Ms. Mary Medford’s room, C4.
Anyone interested in helping with See You at the Pole please see Mrs. Squires in C9 by the end of theweek.
The “Environthon Team will meet at 7:30am Wednesday morning September 5, 2012 in C-13.”
Students for $5.00 you may purchase a “Caps for the Cause” sticker this Friday(9/7) during lunch or Monday(9/10) before school (in room A6) so that you may wear your hat in class during the week of September 10th.
You like to argue? You want your opinion to be heard? The debate club is starting back up. Thursday afternoons in room A6.
Calling all Junior and Senior Girls! There will be a meeting Thursday, September 6th at 7:40 in the Media Center to sign up for the 2012 Powder Puff football game. This meeting is mandatory for all those interested in participating, but if you have a schedule conflict see Mrs. Turner or Mrs. Ensley on Thursday.
There will be a Spanish Club meeting Thursday morning at 7:45 in room D13. All memebers need to attend.
There will be an FFA officer meeting after school today in Ms. Hall’s room.
Any junior or senior who wants to participate in Breakfast of Champions needs to see Ms. Morgan in C-2 for an application. All applicants must have a driver’s license, and all applications must be returned to Ms. Morgan by Friday, September 7th.
Yearbooks are on sale now for $75 until today. See Mrs. Hanson in B4 to order your tax-free book before the price goes up in September.
Seniors: if you are planning to apply to UNC Chapel Hill or NC State and are interested in applying for either the Morehead Cain or Park Scholar, please come see your counselor at your first opportunity.
