20th School Day
The Drivers Ed exemption class that was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 11th will now start on Wednesday, September 12th. Please sign up in guidance if you are 14 ½ or older and have not taken the class.
There will be a DECA Officer meeting at 3:00pm on Thursday in D8. Remember to bring ideas for DECA activities for the school year!
All FFA members that are interested in Dairy Judging need to stay after school for practice today in Ms. Hall’s room.
Anyone interested in helping with See You at the Pole need to see Mrs. Squires in C9 by the end of the week.
Students, for $5.00 you may purchase a “Caps for the Cause” sticker this Friday(9/7) during lunch or Monday(9/10) before school (in room A6) so that you may wear your hat in class during the week of September 10th.
You like to argue? You want your opinion to be heard? The debate club is starting back up. Thursday afternoons in room A6.
Calling all Junior and Senior Girls! There will be a meeting Thursday, September 6th at 7:40 in the Media Center to sign up for the 2012 Powder Puff football game. This meeting is mandatory for all those interested in participating, but if you have a schedule conflict see Mrs. Turner or Mrs. Ensley on Thursday.
There will be a Spanish Club meeting tomorrow morning at 7:45 in room D13. All members need to attend.
Any junior or senior who wants to participate in Breakfast of Champions needs to see Ms. Morgan in C-2 for an application. All applicants must have a driver’s license, and all applications must be returned to Ms. Morgan by Friday, September 7th.
Seniors: if you are planning to apply to UNC Chapel Hill or NC State and are interested in applying for either the Morehead Cain or Park Scholar, please come see your counselor at your first opportunity.
Seniors: If you would like to attend Senior Day at either HCC or AB Tech, come by Guidance as soon as possible to sign up and obtain a permission slip. Seats on bus are limited!

Information is now available in the counseling center about the Roan Scholars Program, East Tennessee State’s most prestigious scholarship. Interested seniors should come by at their earliest convenience.
