All Sophomore class officers need to meet in Mrs. McCall’s room today right after school.
Student Council would like to invite all Pisgah Students to the Red and Black Ball.
This is a semi-formal at the Canton Armory on Saturday, October 27th from 7-11.
Tickets are $10.00 and will go on sale beginning this Friday in the Library and in Mrs. Turner’s Room A-5.
Help us make Leukemia disappear by donating to “Pennies for Patients”. For every $50 we will remove a letter from the word Leukemia hung in the cafeteria.Everyone has been affected by Leukemia in some way.Congratulations Bears a letter is coming down.
Congratulations to the band for placing second at the Owen High School War Horse Classic. The band recieved second place colorgaurd, second place percussion, second place visual and first place music. Congratulations to the band.
Guidance Dept. Announcement: (Please read these to your classes, especially seniors)
Governor’s School-Sophomores and juniors who are talented in academic areas or in the performing/visual arts are encouraged to consider applying for Governor’s School 2013.See Mr. Blackburn in the Counseling Center as soon as possible as there are very specific criteria for selection.
Any non 12th grader enrolled in Algebra II /H. Algebra II second semester can take the PSAT free. The PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 17 here at Pisgah High School. Any other non 12th grader in a higher Math than Algebra II/ Honors II can pay $ 14.oo and take this test. If you have Math second semester, please come by Guidance Dept. by October 10 to get signed up. 11th Graders can qualify for the National Merit Scholarship by scoring high on the PSAT.

Teachers please check the email list for students who will be going on the Spanish Field Trip today.
Students & Staff, the senior class is sponsoring a Children’s Book Drive starting October 9th through October 26th. Please bring in your new or gently used children’s books to your 1st period class for donation to local daycare centers and other childrens groups in Haywood County. The 1st period class that brings in the most books will get doughnuts for breakfast and the teacher will also receive a gift so lets support this senior class project.
