117th School Day
The Cupid’s Helpers Committee needs to meet in C11 today after school to bag candy and to sign up for delivering candy 4th period on Thursday.
No Golf practice today.If you have any questions please see Coach Brindley during 4th period.
First day of track practice will be on Monday, February 18th. Meet in the student lobby after school and you must have a current physical.
Womens soccer tryouts will begin today after school at the football stadium from 3:30 to 5:30.
Student Council and class officer pictures for the yearbook will be taken at 7:45 tomorrow morning in Mrs. Turner’s room.
HOSA will meet tomorrow morning at 7:40 in D-5 wear your HOSA t-shirt for yearbook picture.
Nursing Fundamental applications are due Friday.
There will be a very important meeting after school today for all students traveling to Costa Rica this summer.
Softball tryouts will begin today immediately after school at the softball field.
Baseball tryouts will begin today at the Pisgah field. Tryouts will be from 3:10 till 5:45.
Men’s Tennis tryouts will be after school today.
The National Honor Society will be selling Valentines during lunches in the student lobby. Each Valentine is .25 cents and will be delivered during 4th period on Valentines Day.
Auditions for Bach to Broadway and Orion Show Choir for the 2013-2014 school year will be Monday and Tuesday, February 18 and 19. See Kendra Medford in the chorus trailer for information.

Seniors: Please check the February Counseling Center Newsletter for many scholarship opportunities. All seniors are encouraged to learn more about the Haywood County Schools Foundation Scholarships: One application can be submitted for up to 40 different scholarships! Deadline for Haywood County Schools Foundation Scholarships is March 15. See your counselor if you have questions!
Seniors: Completing the FAFSA is the only way to apply for federal grants and loans to help pay for college; most colleges require the FAFSA to consider students for ANY need-based grants or loans! Students who need help with the FAFSA are invited to participate in FAFSA Day, Saturday, February 23 at Haywood Community College or the Waynesville Branch of the State Employees Credit Union. See your counselor or the last newsletter for how to register for FAFSA Day.

If anyone is interested in spending Spring break in Spain seeing famous art, flamenco dancers, Don Quijote’s windmills, and the beach, Let Mrs. Aquaviva or Mrs. DeGrove know ASAP.
