119th School Day
There will be an FFA Week kickoff meeting after school on Monday, February 18th in Ms. Hall’s shop.
Tennis Tryouts will be after school today.
There will be a Leo Club meeting on Tuesday morning at 7:40 in Ms. Morgan’s room, C-2.
FFA has the following activities coming up:Movie and Pizza Night in Ms. Hall’s room at 5:30 on February 21st.
FFA Kickball game, Pisgah vs. Tuscola on Friday, February 22nd at 5:00 at the Canton Rec Park. Please sign up for both events on the bulletin board outside Ms Hall’s shop.
First day of track practice will be on Monday, February 18th. Meet in the student lobby after school and you must have a current physical.
Nursing Fundamental applications are due Friday.
The National Honor Society will be selling Valentines during lunches in the student lobby. Each Valentine is .25 cents and will be delivered during 4th period on Valentines Day.
Auditions for Bach to Broadway and Orion Show Choir for the 2013-2014 school year will be Monday and Tuesday, February 18 and 19. See Kendra Medford in the chorus trailer for information.
Guidance Dept. Announcement: (Please read these to your classes, especially seniors)
Seniors: Please check the February Counseling Center Newsletter for many scholarship opportunities. All seniors are encouraged to learn more about the Haywood County Schools Foundation Scholarships: One application can be submitted for up to 40 different scholarships! Deadline for Haywood County Schools Foundation Scholarships is March 15. See your counselor if you have questions!
Seniors: Completing the FAFSA is the only way to apply for federal grants and loans to help pay for college; most colleges require the FAFSA to consider students for ANY need-based grants or loans! Students who need help with the FAFSA are invited to participate in FAFSA Day, Saturday, February 23 at Haywood Community College or the Waynesville Branch of the State Employees Credit Union. See your counselor or the last newsletter for how to register for FAFSA Day.

If anyone is interested in spending Spring break in Spain seeing famous art, flamenco dancers, Don Quijote’s windmills, and the beach, Let Mrs. Aquaviva or Mrs. DeGrove know ASAP.
