All costa rica travelers need to see Ms. Roseboom ASAP
Any student who has an interest in photography, journalism, or design, and is interested in being on the yearbook staff next year should stop by either Mrs. Hanson’s room, B4, or Mrs. Carter’s room, B10, to pick up an application. Applications are due today.
Any JUNIOR who is interested in attending Presbyterian College, please come by Guidance for Scholarship information.
Any rising junior or senior interested in being in the freshman mentor program please see Ms. Roseboom to put your name on the waiting list.
Guidance Dept. Announcement: (Please read these to your classes, especially seniors)
Applications for the Haywood County Schools Foundation Scholarships are now online. Over 40 scholarships are available! The deadline is March 15,but there are several steps to the applications, so you should start NOW. If you have questions, please see your counselor.
Seniors: Completing the FAFSA is the only way to apply for federal grants and loans to help pay for college; most colleges require the FAFSA to consider students for ANY need-based grants or loans! Students who need help with the FAFSA are invited to participate in FAFSA Day, Saturday, February 23 at Haywood Community College or the Waynesville Branch of the State Employees Credit Union. See your counselor or the last newsletter for how to register for FAFSA Day.
Seniors interested in a career in TEACHING should come by the counseling center to pick up applications for up to 4 scholarships from the North Carolina Alpha Delta Kappa. All materials must be complete by the end of the month!
