Congratulations to the wrestling team for finishing 2nd in the western region out of 23 teams. The following wrestlers qualified for the state tournament this week in Greensboro: Drew Singleton, Jeff Henson, Hunter Mease, Kyle Terrell, and Cody Lamb.

The Spanish Club will have an important meeting on Thursday morning, February 28th at 7:40 a.m. in Mrs. Acquaviva’s room B13. We will plan for the trip on Saturday, March 2nd.

Any Leo Club member interested in serving as an officer in next year’s Leo Club needs to see Ms. Morgan by this Friday to get his or her name on the ballot.
At this past weekend’s State Leo Club Convention, three PHS students were elected to state office. Maggie Christy was elected State Leo Treasurer, Natalie Trantham was elected State Leo Vice President, and Amy Medford was elected State Leo President. Congratulations ladies! We know you will represent Pisgah well!
Spring Blood Drive is Friday, March 8–sign-up during lunches for an appointment time beginning today.

Applications for the Haywood County Schools Foundation Scholarships are now online. Over 40 scholarships are available! The deadline is March 15,but there are several steps to the applications, so you should start NOW. If you have questions, please see your counselor.
Seniors: Completing the FAFSA is the only way to apply for federal grants and loans to help pay for college; most colleges require the FAFSA to consider students for ANY need-based grants or loans! Students who need help with the FAFSA are invited to participate in FAFSA Day, Saturday, February 23 at Haywood Community College or the Waynesville Branch of the State Employees Credit Union. See your counselor or the last newsletter for how to register for FAFSA Day.
Seniors interested in a career in TEACHING should come by the counseling center to pick up applications for up to 4 scholarships from the North Carolina Alpha Delta Kappa. All materials must be complete by the end of the month!
