103rd School Day

9th,10th,and 11th graders interested in taking Honors,AP,online, Auto,Criminal Justice or New Electronics offered by HCC next year, there will be a mandatory meeting tonight at 6pm in the auditorium. Students who do not attend one of these meetings and do not turn in an application by February 21 will Not be considered for these courses.

Tickets are on sale for $10 in the ROTC room for a “Two Country Bands” Concert at the Colonial Theater this Saturday. This event will help raise money for the San Diego, California trip. Please come out in support for our ROTC.

Any student interested in being in the Bach to Broadway or Orion Show choir must see Kendra Medford by Thursday afternoon.

Any boys interested in being on the golf team will have a meeting today at 3:15 in C-11. Please bring your golf clubs to the meeting.

There will be NO Breakfast of Champions this month. Because we missed for snow, we will NOT be making up this date. The next Breakfast of Champions date will be in March.

HOSA meeting will be this Thursday at 7:40 in D-5

Junior class officers will have a mandatory meeting in Mrs. Squires room (C9) at 3:00 on Thursday.

Senior Cap and Gown Pictures will be Tuesday, February 25th. in the Media Center.The schedule of times will be posted outside the media center and your 1st period teachers will also have the schedule.

The Black Bear Book Club will have its next meeting after school on Monday, February 24th in Mrs. Hanson’s room, B4. We will be discussing The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon; everyone is welcome to attend.

Guidance Dept. Announcement: (Please read these to your classes, especially seniors)

There will be a representative from East Tennessee State University in the gym lobby during lunches on Friday, February 21. Seniors planning to attend ETSU should plan to meet with him about final scholarship deadlines!

Any senior needing assistance with his/her FAFSA form should plan on attending FAFSA Day this Saturday, February 22. See the Senior Newsletter or your counselor for more information on how to register for this event.
