41st School Day
Congratulations to the volleyball team for their win over Tuscola last night.
Debate Club will meet today after school in A6.
Fall athletes need to meet coach Kruk at the middle gate in front of Canton Middle School between 6:30 and 6:45 sharp in order to get in tonights game.
Students planning to take the SAT on Saturday, October 6th, should come by the Guidance office to pick up some last minute tips and reminders.
Any senior member of National Honor Society who would like to run for an office, needs to pick up an application in Mrs. McElreath’s room, C-11. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, October 10th.
Any Leo Club member helping collect donations at the gate before Friday night’s game needs to see Ms. Morgan ASAP.
There will be a Leo Club meeting this Tuesday, October 9th, at 7:40 in Ms. Morgan’s room, C-2.
All items for the Art/Spanish trip are due on Monday, October 8th.
Pennies for Patients kick off is Monday at 3:00 in D-5.HOSA members and anyone intrested in leukemia or lymphoma.
The Pack the Pantry food drive is winding down, but there’s still time to donate. You can still bring your canned and non-perishable items to your first period through game day, but you can also bring them to the gate at both the JV and varsity football games. We’re in the home stretch, Bears, let’s finish strong and beat those Mounties!

Guidance Dept. Announcement: (Please read these to your classes, especially seniors)
Seniors – Anyone interested in Gardner-Webb, or anyone that might be interested in competing for a scholarship at Gardner Webb, please go by the Counseling Center and see your Counselor as soon as possible!
Governor’s School-Sophomores and juniors who are talented in academic areas or in the performing/visual arts are encouraged to consider applying for Governor’s School 2013.See Mr. Blackburn in the Counseling Center as soon as possible as there are very specific criteria for selection.
Any non 12th grader enrolled in Algebra II /H. Algebra II second semester can take the PSAT free. The PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 17 here at Pisgah High School. Ant other non 12th grader in a higher Math than Algebra II/ Honors II can pay $ 14.oo and take this test. If you have Math second semester, please come by Guidance Dept. by October 10 to get signed up. 11th Graders can qualify for the National Merit Scholarship by scoring high on the PSAT.
