Congratulations to the ladies cross country team on there Conference win yesterday.
Tickets are on sell now for the Red and Black Ball to be held on Saturday, October 27th at the Canton Armory. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased from Mrs. Turner in A-5 or Ms. Wyatt in the library.
Help us make Leukemia disappear by donating to “Pennies for Patients”. For every $50 we will remove a letter from the word Leukemia hung in the cafeteria.Everyone has been affected by Leukemia in some way.Congratulations Bears a letter is coming down.
There will be a DECA meeting on Thursday at 3:00pm in D8. All students thinking of attending competition or the Charlotte trip in November should be at this meeting. Please see Mrs. Cragg by Thursday if you can not attend the meeting.
DECA is open to all Marketing students! If you are currently in a Marketing course, have taken one in the past, or will be taking one in the spring, then DECA is for YOU! Students planning to attend competition must turn in their $20 dues by Tuesday, October 23.
Students and staff don’t forget about the book drive going on during first period. Bring your new or gently used books to be given to local children’s groups.
The sophomore class officers are presenting the Pisgah Pavement Pounder 5k on
Saturday, November 17 at 8:30am. The proceeds will go into a fund to help underprivileged students here at Pisgah. Cost: $20 until 11/14/12 and $25 after 11/14 and until race day.
Guidance Dept. Announcement: (Please read these to your classes, especially seniors)
Seniors interested in Daughters of American Revolution Good Citizens Award must have an application in guidance by Monday, October 22.
Creative seniors interested in competing for a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Asheville Eye Associates should check in the Guidance office as soon as possible. Deadline for entries is October 30.

Students & Staff, the senior class is sponsoring a Children’s Book Drive starting October 9th through October 26th. Please bring in your new or gently used children’s books to your 1st period class for donation to local daycare centers and other children’s groups in Haywood County. The 1st period class that brings in the most books will get doughnuts for breakfast and the teacher will also receive a gift so lets support this senior class project.
