18th School Day

Anyone interested in helping with See You at the Pole please meet in Mrs. Squires room (C9) at 7:45 Thursday morning.

There will be a powder puff meeting tomorrow morning at 7:45 in the health room.

There will be an informational meeting Monday after school in B11 Ms.Roseboom’s room for any student interested in traveling to Belize this summer!

Senior and Faculty Superlatives are due to Ms. Ensley by Friday, Sept.20th. Senior Quotes and Yearbook dedication nominations are also due by Friday.

The two week drivers ed class will begin on Tuesday, September 24th at 4:00 in the Health room. Please sign up with Ms. Case in the library or the office. The cost of the class is $55.

Senior Make Up Pictures are September 24…all Seniors must have a Drape or Tux photo taken for the yearbook.

There will be an information meeting about the Washington/ New York trip planned for Spring Break on Thursday, Sept.19 at 5:30 in D-2.

The Black Bear Book Club will have its first meeting Monday, September 23rd after school in Mrs. Hanson’s room, B4. We will be discussing reading selections and deciding on our book list for this year.

The Chess/Card Club will begin to meet Wednesday and Thursday afternoons in C-13, Mr. Wyatt’s room, at 3:15.

The Art Club will meet Thursday morning at 7:45 in D2.

If you are planning on gong to Cureate’s this Saturday with the Spanish Club you need to be at the meeting tomorrow morning at 7:40 in room B13 for more information. If you cannot attend this meeting you need to see Mrs. Acquaviva as soon as possible

There will be a mandatory National Honor Society Meeting in the library during homeroom. New & returning members must attend.

Please dismiss the golf team at 1:45.

Guidance Dept. Announcement: (Please read these to your classes, especially seniors)

Any senior interested in the Roan Scholarship at East Tennessee State University (worth well more than $50,000 over four years) should pick up information and an application in the Counseling Center as soon as possible.

Attention Morehead-Cain Nominees: If you picked up a questionnaire from Mrs. Lawing yesterday, please remember those are due by Monday, September 16th by 8:00 am. You may also turn it in before Monday.

If you are interested in attending UNC-Greensboro, please make plans to attend First Look in Asheville at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel on September 30th. See you counselor for more information.

TEACHERS:(please read during first period.)

The PSAT will be offered at PHS on Saturday, October 19th. The cost is $14.00. Please register in guidance.

Yearbooks are on sale for $65 before October 14th.

Seniors, please remember that Senior Ads for the Yearbook are due September 27.
