Clint Conner

Clint has been recognized by The NCPAPA organization as a Distinguished Leader in Practice recipient.   He holds a Masters in School Administration from Western Carolina University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Gardner-Webb University.  Additionally, he was recognized as a National Board certified teacher by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.  His tenure has included service at Asheville High, Owen Middle, Pisgah High, Bethel Middle, Bethel Elementary, and Clyde Elementary as either a teacher, coach or administrator.

Clint attended Gardner-Webb on a full athletic scholarship where he played quarterback for the Bulldogs.  During his college career he excelled both on and off the field, and he contributes much of his success as a leader to the discipline and perseverance he learned as a student athlete.

Clint was raised in the small mountain town of Enka, NC, located in Buncombe County.  He is married to Dr. Mindy Conner and has one daughter, Katy Conner.  He is an outgoing individual who loves working with people.  What he enjoys most about Pisgah High School is the true “Family” atmosphere, as well as building lasting relationships with student, teachers and families.

In his free time, he enjoys exercising, reading motivational literature and spending time with his daughter.  Clint and his family are members of Lake Hills Baptist Church.  He loves being outdoors playing golf, fishing or relaxing by the lake.  He’s been known to win a few corn-hole tournaments, too.   Clint is an avid college football fan and enjoys tailgating and watching games with friends and family.

His goal for Pisgah High is to create a school united in educating the whole child with high expectations, by providing a positive culture that empowers students to be exceptional citizens in our community, state, and world.
